HOW TO NAVIGATE AND USE THIS WEB SITE

The web site, when begun, was never envisioned to be as large as it is now.  For this reason the layout and organization of the site leaves much to be desired.  It has grown so large that I no longer remember what all is on the site or where everything is located.

The LINK BAR, located on the left of your screen, is a quick guide to getting around the site.   This is the key to what to expect when you click on a link in this bar.  If the box is yellow it will take you to a single page.  If the box is gray, it will take you to a DIRECTORY PAGE with one or more links and if the box is white it will take you to a form for submitting information.

I have tried to organize the site with information about Lago Colony, the Lago Refinery and the island of Aruba.   There is also information about families and scrapbooks of photos sent in by different people.

There is also information about World War II, the attack on Aruba by German U-Boat 156 and other bits of information.

Many of the photos will be used two and sometimes three and four times.  You may see a photo in a Family Scrapbook and then later see the same photo under some section of Lago Colony or the Refinery.

Another useful tool is the NEW STUFF.  You can click on this and see what has been added to the site.  This is updated with each new addition to the site and once a month I archive the last month and begin a new month.  You can also go back and use the archived list to find things.  I find this most useful and refer to it often when trying to find something.

You will also find links within pages (see TIPS TO USE THE WEB SITE).  These links take you to related subject matter within the web site.
