The Lago Colony web site is intended to show what was at one time a viable community, located on the east end of the island of Aruba and supported by the largest oil refinery in the world.  Most of Lago Colony is gone, a few of the houses remain, they have been turned over to the Aruba Government and some have been sold to individuals.  The refinery is operational, but it is not nearly as large as it once was.   Having grown up in Lago Colony I can tell you it was a wonderful place to spend one's childhood.  I hope you enjoy your visit to Lago Colony and the old Lago Refinery.
