BARBARA (SODERSTON) YOUNG
CLASS OF 1967

I got this email from Barbara today, Feb. 5, 2013 and found it interesting because I knew very little about Aruba and Lago after 1956 when I left.  I was not sure when the school closed or how it was closed but this explains the time period and method.  She does not mention when the International School opened which would be interesting.

As for the Bungalow Information Form I am sorry it does not work for some but I for the life of me do not know why.  One day I will find the time to research it and get it fixed.  In the meantime if you have information to be added to the web site just contact me at dje9537459@austin.rr.com

THIS IS BARBARA'S EMAIL

Hello Dan,

I am Barbara (Soderston) Young, Class of 67.  I came across the following info when going through some of my dad's 'stuff' this morning.  I tried to input the info on the submittal form on your website, but instead got the following message:

"You don't have permission to access

/_vti_bin/shtml.exe/BUNGALOWS/BUNGALOW_INFORMATION_FORM/BUNGALOW_INFORMATION_FORM_PAGE.htm on this server."

I saw your note to contact you if it didn't work, so...

My dad arrived first on March 13th, 1953 and spent his first 2 1/2 months in a BQ.  From there is as follows:

*Class of 67 first entire class to be sent to boarding schools.  1965-66 Seroe Colorado High School consisted of 9th, 10th and 12th grades.  No 11th or Junior class.  But, we were back in Aruba for Christmas and summers.  The next year (66-67) 12th grade was also omitted and from there on out class years were deleted until most in high school were going away to boarding schools.

Your website is fantastic!  Thank you for keeping it going.

Thank you and if you need any more information, feel free to contact me.
