CARIBBEAN MEMORIES
BY
DAN JENSEN
I wrote CARIBBEAN MEMORIES after ARUBA GOLD and only because my son Paul asked me to put some of my stories down in writing.
It really is a collection of short stories about things that happened to me or things that I experienced while living on the islands of Aruba, St. Croix and Barbados between the years, 1938 and 1989, 51 years in the Caribbean.
During 5 of those 51 years I was in the States, going to college, the rest of the time I was in the Caribbean.
Aruba was really childhood stories because I left Aruba at the age of eighteen.
The stories from St. Croix encompassed things that happened to me when I lived and worked on the island and the same is true about Barbados. I spent a total of about twenty years living in St. Croix, with a three year break when we lived in Barbados.
Again, I self published 100 copies of this book and gave them to my friends. Soon after I was married for the second time my wife had three copies made and gave to her friends.
Some of the stories from Aruba are on the web site under STORIES on the link bar on the left.
